We are Embe Eatery and Lounge, and we have been a locally owned and operated restaurant and bar in Galena, IL since 2011. We offer homemade deli style food, gourmet soups, sandwiches, and salads. Our kitchen specializes in from-scratch cooking using quality ingredients to bring you our family’s delicious recipes. They were open Sunday evening which is a plus in Galena. The staff was friendly and courteous. I had the corned beef sandwich - tender, full of flavor, and their horseradish mustard was the perfect compliment. The chopped pickle sends it over the top. The chef salad is enough for two, and everything is fresh. The vibe is casual. Highly recommend. 11/10 and will return.

The food here is amazing. Truly. I’m always impressed when someone takes something so basic, like a sandwich, and manages to make it mind blowing. Which Embe has done. I had the Dave and my companion had the Big Joe and both were divine. I will return and try other sandwiches!
